What Local United Offers

Local United is building a virtual organisation to:

• Set up and promote trusted systems for the rapid development and deployment of new community-led Social Venture models;
• Offer a clear voice for our Social Venture members to help create and shape the market place.
• Train and coordinate successful social entrepreneurs to animate, inspire and motivate communities to set up new Social Ventures which will deliver the services that local people need in order to live sustainable lives
• Give communities practical information, advice and face-to-face support to make these new Social Ventures thrive including setting and monitoring quality standards for this support.
• Build a vibrant network of Social Ventures which;

 - Go on to inspire other communities to replicate their success  

- Encourage their members (individual customers) to sign up to sustainable suppliers (e.g. electricity suppliers and renewable energy installers) who in turn provide income to Local United through affiliation programmes.  

- Promote sustainability Social Ventures to the UK mass market, public and private sector buyers and UK governments at all levels.
