Gabby Mallett

Gabby joined the National Energy Foundation (NEF) in 2005 and was appointed to project manage the Energy for Good scheme in 2006. Since then she has designed and managed numerous projects and since 2009 has headed the NEF Communities Team. Gabby holds a BSc (Hons) in Economics and Politics and Post Graduate Diplomas and Certificates in Social Science and Environmental Decision Making, gaining diplomas in Economics and Government and Politics along the way. Gabby has recently achieved her Masters in Environment, Policy and Society.

Gabby’s main focus has been on energy efficiency and renewables in buildings. She has supported many communities in their projects to increase take up of measures and currently is director of the multi award winning Old Home SuperHomes project. She has also been the day-to-day project manager for the NESTA-funded Local United diffusion project. Hence, she will be able to step readily into the next stage of development of Local United as a constituted body, particularly as she has been a lead contact in developing the links to the Co-operatives UK Energy Roundtable initiative.
